BIGGER isn’t necessarily better.
Modern Family star Ariel Winter is the most recent celebrity to undergo a breast reduction.
Speaking to Glamour about her transformation from a size 32F to a 34D, the 17-year-old said:
“I remember being in my sister’s wedding and being so flat and thinking, I just wish I would grow boobs!” And then overnight I did. But then they kept growing and growing and growing, and it didn’t seem like they were going to stop.
“I’m excited to finally actually feel confident and not just appear confident.”
Here are some other famous females who have also gone under the knife:
Drew Barrymore:
The Charlie’s Angels star underwent a breast reduction in 1992, later saying:
“I really love my body and the way it is right now. There’s something very awkward about women and their breasts because men look at them so much. When they’re huge, you become very self-conscious. Your back hurts. You find that whatever you wear, you look heavy in. It’s uncomfortable. I’ve learned something, though, about breasts through my years of pondering and pontificating, and that is: Men love them, and I love that.”
Janeane Garofalo:
The Reality Bites star is candid about the breast reduction she underwent before becoming famous. She told Inked magazine, “I did that many years ago, because at five-foot-one, I had boobs like Dolly Parton. I’ve never thought big boobs were good. I hated them the second I got them. I did nothing but try to hide them my whole life, and as soon as I was in college I was like, ‘These have got to go’ … When I did stand-up, people would heckle me because such a short person with such big boobs is very distracting.”
Mimi Rogers:
Tom Cruise’s ex-wife admitted to Weekend magazine that her breast reduction helped her social life. “Before I had the surgery, men were talking to my chest the entire time, but I couldn’t blame them. When I walked into a room, my breasts were always several steps ahead of me.”
Patricia Heaton:
The Everybody Loves Raymond star was beyond candid about her breast reduction to People magazine, explaining, “They were like French bread. They’re round, not oblong now. [Now] when I [lie] down they don’t cover my nose.”
Queen Latifah:
The talk show host admitted to People that she felt “awkward” because of her large breasts, opting for reduction surgery in 2003 to alleviate back problems.
Roseanne Barr:
The comedian underwent breast reduction surgery in 1991. She dedicated a 1992 episode of her eponymous sitcom to the subject, with her character opting for a breast reduction after throwing her back out.
