Five of Our Favorite Recent Somaya Reece Tweets

somaya reece

It turns out that one of our favorite Love and Hip Hop stars is making some changes in her life for the better; Somaya Reece is done living in the past and she appears to be done with men. She recently began dating a woman at the beginning of 2016 and she made their relationship public shortly before Valentine’s Day. As we’ve known from her previous interviews and statements, she was in an abusive relationship with a man for some time. She was not brave enough to leave, she believed him when he said it would never happen again and it took her a long time to finally find her feet and her bravery and get out of that relationship.

What it taught her was that she’s not into men so much anymore. She might have male friends, but she’s not looking for love with a man anymore. She’s living her life to the fullest and she’s not ashamed of that. She might not always be reasonable or even all that likable at times – who is? – but we like her, and we think her Twitter feed is pretty good stuff. That’s why we are sharing some of our favorite tweets from her most recent activity on social media.

@Somaya_Reece I learned to be understanding. Having a kid while single is hard. I have to wait and listen to my head then my heart.

She’s honest about the hard stuff  I don’t know about being a single parent since I have four kids with a very involved husband, but I do know that the 10 hours he’s gone during the day and I’m doing it all on my own until he gets home in the evenings is no fun. I can’t imagine doing it alone all the time.

Real is all I know????❤️ https://t.co/XHqZLclwc0 — Somaya BOSS Reece (@Somaya_Reece) July 27, 2016

She’s real

There is nothing wrong with keeping it real as often as possible while not losing sight of yourself in the process. We don’t hate it.

It should always be ALL IN or nada???????????????????????? https://t.co/fQL1Sndtci

All or nothing  There isn’t much point in doing anything at all if you’re not in it to win it 100 percent. I don’t get people that put in a half effort, expect a 100 percent return and cannot seem to get their minds around the fact that it just does not work like that. Somaya Reece tweets that it’s all real and it’s all or nothing.

As much as it hurts, I’m glad to have shared my story of #DomesticViolence I hope it helps someone gain courage???????? https://t.co/bLlzvfy2fg — Somaya BOSS Reece (@Somaya_Reece) July 27, 2016

She’s honest

Somaya Reece tweets that it’s hard to be open and honest about certain things, but that she is happy she did it because it helps her and it might help others. We appreciate that she realizes she hurts and that she still works it out anyway.

A woman will win…. FYI????

She tells her fans the truth

Somaya Reece tweets that a woman will win “Famously Single,” and we think she probably shouldn’t have. But we appreciate that she did.
