Peter Newell Obituary, Death Cause – In addition to being the father of Maggie, the U20 manager, Peter Newell is also the father-in-law of Anthony, the coach. Barranny, Annaghdown, Galway in Galway Christ the Lord extends our most heartfelt condolences to the Newell family on the occasion of their loss. The end Take note: Peter died away without any suffering in the familiar surroundings of his own house, surrounded by the people he loved the most. Both of his parents, John and Brigid (Scahill), as well as his sister, Freda Keary (Mountbellew), passed away before himself.
His devoted wife Aileen (Hughes), his children Barry, Helen, and Maggie, his daughter-in-law Caroline (Aherne), his son-in-law Eoin Loughnane and Anthony Leifi, his cherished grandchildren Tom, Mia, Harry, Ella, Nio, and Aniva, his brother Martin (Barranny), and his sisters Mary Casey (Lanesboro) and Anne Buckley (Barranny) will always miss him deeply.
Additionally, he is mourned by his nieces, nephews, godchildren, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended members of the Newell Family, neighbours, friends, the larger Annaghdown Community, and all of the employees and customers of Newell Roofing Products, whom he valued exceedingly. God grant eternal rest to the sweet soul of Peter. Reposing in the Corrandulla Mortuary Chapel (H91HN83) on Saturday, December 16th, beginning at 2:00 p.m., and being removed to his residence at 5:00 p.m.
Upon his departure from his residence on Sunday, December 17th, at 12.30 p.m., a funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. in St. Brendan’s Church, Annaghdown (H91YE39). Following the funeral mass, the burial will take place at Annaghdown Cemetery (H91FCDI). A live broadcast of the Mass will be available at www.churchtv.ie/annaghdown.
