Christmas adverts are quickly becoming one of the most exciting parts of Christmas! People countdown to the Christmas period to see how our favourite shops and companies advertise their Christmas ranges. Now, Sainsburys have released their advert!
This year hasn’t disappointed with more businesses releasing Christmas adverts than before. So far, and its only the middle of November, Waitrose, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Aldi and now Sainsburys have released their festive adverts, just to name a few.
Last year, Sainsburys beat John Lewis to have the most watched Christmas advert reaching 30 million views with Mog the Cat. However, this year Sainsburys has released an all-singing campaign in order to try and reach the top spot again.
James Corden is the star of this year’s advert singing the song to accompany the story. The song and advert tell the story of a busy, working dad who wants to spend time with his family over Christmas. Therefore, he creates toy versions of himself to do his work for him whilst he spends time with his family.

The advert also has a charitable link. Profits from a range of merchandise, including gingerbread versions of the characters, will be sold and the money will be given to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
